The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue aka DOR was created in 1927 and begin it's operations in 1929. The mission of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue is to fairly, efficiently and accurately administer the tax laws and other revenue programs of the commonwealth to fund necessary government services. The DORs primary responsibility is to collect all of the state of Pennsylvania's taxes which includes all corporate taxes, personal income, sales and use, realty transfer, inheritance, motor fuel and any other tax that would be collected by the state.
