Department of General Services

The Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS) is responsible for the purchasing of goods and services for the state government. The Pennsylvania Department of General Services also maintains and protects buildings owned by the government of Pennsylvania. The department employs around 950 employees whom oversees the procurement of goods and services, manage non-highway construction projects, management of the vehicle fleet, the Capitol Police force, and state buildings and facilities.
