The Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council responsibilities are to collect, analyze and make available data about the cost and quality of health care in Pennsylvania to the public, study the issues of access to care for those Pennsylvanians who are uninsured, and reviewing and making recommendations about health insurance benefits upon the requests of the legislative or executive branches of the state of Pennsylvania.
