The Philadelphia Regional Port Authority is responsible for for water-borne trade and commerce in the Philadelphia Port System which promotes economic development and job creation, the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority works to maximize port-related employment and revenues by promoting the use of the Philadelphia Port by Pennsylvania based industries. Port cargoes in Pennsylvania and the commerce they generate are responsible for thousands of direct and indirect jobs in the Philadelphia area and throughout Pennsylvania.
