The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services has seven different offices that administer services which helps Pennsylvania's most vulnerable citizens with care and support. The Pennsylvania DHS seven offices include: Office of Child Development and Early Learning, Office of Long Term Living, Office of Children, Youth and Families, Office of Medical Assistance Programs, Office of Developmental Programs, Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and the Office of Income Maintenance.

Office of Child Development and Early Learning

Provides services for children and families which include a child support enforcement program, overseeing adoption and foster care services, and working with counties on child abuse prevention and juvenile justice issues.

Office of Children, Youth and Families

Pennsylvania's Office of Children, Youth and Families is a child welfare system which is county-administered and state-supervised. The Child welfare and juvenile justice services are organized, managed, and delivered by County Children and Youth agencies and county Juvenile probation offices in the state of Pennsylvania.

Office of Developmental Programs

The Pennsylvania Office of Development Programs support Pennsylvanians with developmental disabilities to achieve greater independence, choice and opportunity in their lives.

Office of Income Maintenance

The Office of Income Maintenance is responsible for the the temporary assistance for needy families cash assistance program, which is referred to as TANF, Medicaid, SNAP, which is the new name for the food stamp program, LIHEAP (Home Heating Assistance), Employment and training services, and Child support.

Office of Long-Term Living

The Office of Long-Term Living helps Pennsylvania's find answer to questions about care for elders and people with disabilities. Office of Medical Assistance Programs

The Office of Medical Assistance administers Pennsylvania's Medicaid program.  They also are responsible for enrolling providers, processing provider claims, establishing rates and fees, contracting and monitoring of managed care organizations, and detecting and deterring provider and recipient fraud and abuse.

Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services

The Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services provides services related to substance abuse and metal health issues and helps individuals with recovery and an opportunity for growth which will empower them
