Pennsylvania Children's Healthcare Program -

The Pennsylvania Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) provides health insurance to uninsured children and teens who are uninsured and are not eligible for Medical Assistance all have access to affordable, comprehensive health-care coverage through CHIP.

Enrollment in CHIP must be renewed to have their coverage continue every year. CHIP insurance companies send renewal notices 90 days before their benefits are going to end, and families must fill out and send the renewal information back to their CHIP insurance company in order for benefits to continue.

To apply or renew for CHIP health insurance in Pennsylvania you can do this online using COMPASS, which is the the online application for health and human services.  To apply you will need to know your all household income, any private health insurance information, and social security numbers for your children.
