The Public Employee Retirement Commission is responsible for monitoring public retirement plans in Pennsylvania, studying the retirement needs of public employees which formulates principles, develop objectives and recommend legislation to the PA Legislature, and administering Acts 205 and 293 mandating actuarial reports for all municipal pension systems.
